My name is Daniel Freeman and I am the founder, owner and director of financialmodelling.com ltd.
I give all my clients a first class service and the benefit of my extensive expertise:
- I am a practising chartered accountant (ACA) with over 13 years post qualification experience in financial modelling.
- I trained with Coopers & Lybrand and then joined Ernst & Youngs financial modelling group shortly after qualifying
- In 2003 I set up financialmodelling.com ltd.
- I have worked with a large number of clients (both large and small organisations as well as individuals) building financial models, reviewing models and providing training (either on a one to one basis or though in-house courses for specific employers or external workshops)
- All my financial models adhere to best practice guidelines. I have written an article published in the February 2010 issue of Accountancy magazine
- I also offer accountancy and tax services to small service companies, freelancers and contractors
Typically the models I build are Excel spreadsheet models producing a set of integrated financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow statement) along with any other Key performance indicators or other analysis that is required.
They range from quite small models (e.g. weekly model prepared to support investment for a new coffee shop) to the very large complex models required for PPP/PFi bids and to support project financed transactions (e.g. tender for a new 2000MW Water and Power Project in the Middle east)
Along with actually building the financial model I also typically get involved in the following associated activities:
- using the model to look at the effect of various "what-if" scenarios or sensitivities;
- using the model to prepare analysis to assist the company in evaluating strategic options ;
- helping to prepare the information memorandum when a company is looking to sell a project/ company;
- providing support in contract or finance negotiations;
- acting on the sponsor side in discussions with the potential lenders and investors;
- managing tax and accounting during due diligence
I try to be as flexible as I can so that I can offer my services to both small and large clients.
